  This is a growing parish, that like San Antonio itself, still maintains a small town feel. The pastor is great and he takes the time to meet every new parishioner. We have watched our kids grow up at this parish's events and it is great to see it still thriving.
  
  There are a lot of visitors to this parish and all are welcome. It is right next door to The National Shooting Complex, so on event weekends there are a lot of new faces. It is such a neat parish with a great welcoming vibe. We went in just to visit almost 20 years ago and we officially joined the parish shortly thereafter.
  
  So, if you are just in town for a few and are looking for somewhere to attend mass, look no further and come on out. Or, if you are looking for a more permanent place to worship, then this is also a wonderful place to call home.

  It has been almost 2 years since attending church. Today was our first time attending St. Anthony Claret Catholic Church. It was joyful and lovely. Very family friendly. I love that there was no crying room. It was me and my 4 little ones. My baby was a little restless but everyone around me was friendly and welcoming. Not enough words can be said about our experience today. It was a wonderful Mass. True Catholic spirit and eautiful church.

  Pros: Beautiful church with an amazing sky view behind the altar! Italian priest is friendly and down to earth. Diverse community of parishioners including large Hispanic and Asian membership. Parishioners are helpful with elders and families with children. In fact, there was no crying room when I went and the parishioners are very friendly and helpful with children. Ushers are also kind and attentive and helpful in seating parishioners with special needs.
  
  Cons: Below that beautiful skyline altar is a massive gun range. A bit of irony so close to such a wonderful church. Oh well, I've seen churches in red light districts so why not next to a gun range. Although, I usually find that the people who frequent red-light districts are far better Catholics than the ones who frequent gun ranges.

  We moved from Holy Spirit parish to St. Anthony Claret at the beginning of May. We signed up on line to become parishioners and to this date, we have never heard a word from anyone to welcome us to the parish. We have decided this parish must not be for us, so we will choose another parish that is close to our home.

  Terrible Church, you can clearly see the inside carpet starting to peel off, during the mass all I could hear were infants crying and no one even seemed to care! Also during the construction of the new building, I WILL NOT LIE, I saw four kids climbing onto the building that was still in the process of being built! It seems to me that they take no safety precautions whatsoever and they could care less about the children! Another thing I want to point out is that right next-door to the church is a gun range, which I would consider very unsafe especially with children playing outdoor sports! Overall, I would rate this parish 1 out of 5 stars and would not recommend due to its low standards.
