  • My wife is from Boerne, Texas. Her sister attended religion classes at this LDS Institute while she was living in San Antonio. She had a lot of positive experiences she told me about.

  • The chapel is modern and beautiful. There's plenty of space and a good amount of people in each ward the building serves. I can feel the Spirit here and I know anyone who comes here searching will find what they're looking for by the hand of the Lord and His servants.

  • I have attended many events at this church. The building is larger than most LDS churches because it offers a number of unique activities. On Sundays the building functions as a traditional meetinghouse with regular worship services. On other days of the week there are bible study activities called Institute for young single adults. There is a family history center which serves to connect the general community with microfilms, online records and experts in genealogy. Often there are special events to host visiting representatives from Salt Lake, the annual Messiah performance and a Boy Scout of America fundraiser.

  • Beautiful church building. I currently attend Institute classes here, and the Institute program is great. One of the biggest in Texas if I'm not mistaken.

  • I attended church here regularly for three years, and now I return to visit as I visit congregations attending here.

Always a center for Christ-centered family activities. Also a hub for young single adults in the area (aged 18-30) looking for other Christ-centered young singles.

Church services are held Sundays, with three congregations meeting in their own three-hour blocks. Each block includes a main service (including the sacrament of the Lord's supper, or bread and water, as well as sermons delivered by congregants assigned in advance), an hour of general Sunday School, and an hour of gender-specific Sunday school learning.

    These blocks are scheduled for:
    9 a.m. until noon
    11 a.m. until 2 p.m.
    1 p.m. until 4 p.m.

The afternoon service is a congregation of young single adults. The other two blocks are for families of all ages.

Those attending Sunday services typically wear "Sunday best", with women wearing dresses that cover the shoulders and knees and men wearing shirts and ties (often white shirts and ties). Visitors should wear whatever they feel appropriate. Young children remain with their families for the first hour of services and may attend age-specific Sunday school classes for the remaining two hours.

Activities are held at this building throughout the week, with youth activities on Tuesday nights, a special "Institute of Religion" weekly scripture study program for young adults (single or married!) on Wednesday nights and a satellite courses for Brigham Young University-Idaho on Thursday nights. Most of these activities begin at 7 p.m.

Saturdays are a mixed bag of activities throughout the day, and may include basketball games (during the day), service projects, devotional meetings or dances for youth. Check with a member of the Church for an accurate schedule of events.

The people here are amazing and down-to-earth. Several families have military backgrounds, and there are many who are medical professionals or are IT folks at USAA. Whatever your background, you'll find a friend at this church!
